You want a number before you pick up the phone. Maybe it's a couch that won't fit through the new doorway, or a garage that hasn't seen the car in years. How he charges is the question customers ask him most, so here's the straight answer. He answers the phone any time, day or night, if you'd rather talk it through. To see every job he takes on, from one chair to a full estate cleanout, start with the full list.

What does junk removal cost in Reno?

Jobs start at $80. That's the minimum for any pickup in Reno, big or small. A single couch is a common furniture removal job, and a hot tub removal is a bigger one. The quote you end up with comes from your own pile, so the best way to know is to show him what you've got.

What does the quote cover?

Loading, hauling and disposal are all inside the quote. Dump fees are included in the price, so the landfill run never shows up as its own charge. Carrying it out from the basement or the back bedroom is part of the same quote, so nothing has to be dragged to the curb first.

How is the quote set?

He prices it from photos of the pile, or comes out to look when the job needs it. Either way, you get a price for the whole job, and the quote holds unless the job turns out bigger than the photo showed. Once you approve the price, he sets a day and time with you, explains the work before he starts, cleans up the area when the load is out and walks through it with you at the end. Text a photo to (775) 316-7470.

What should you put in the photo and the text?

The photo is what he prices from, so a piece left out of the shot is a piece the quote didn't count. On the first call or text, he asks what needs to go, and asks for pictures if he needs them. If the pile is hard to catch in a picture, or the job needs a closer look, he comes out for an in-person quote instead. Asbestos, propane tanks, medical or biohazard waste and any item with bed bugs or pests stay off the trailer, and the guide to what goes on the truck covers the rest.

  • The whole pile in view, from far enough back to see all of it
  • Anything stacked behind or tucked under the main pile
  • Each item you're unsure is on the won't-take list
  • A line in the text saying which pieces go and which stay

Does Reno have its own option for extra trash?

Yes. The city runs an [excess waste sticker program](https://www.reno.gov/community/environmental-services/solid-waste-recycling.php) for Reno garbage customers. It's the city's program, run by the city's rules. A couch or a garage full of boxes is the kind of load he hauls off for you, priced from a photo like any other job.

How can you pay for the job?

He takes cash, credit or debit card, Venmo, Zelle and check. Pick whichever is easiest for you. Those same methods cover the bigger jobs on his list too, like an estate cleanout at a parent's house or an eviction and rental property cleanout after a tenant moves out.

Is a small pile worth the $80 minimum?

Yes, if the piece is in your way. A single chair gets the same carry-out as a full load, and the dump fee is already in the price. An old mattress out of the spare room counts the same way. If it's blocking the hallway or taking up a parking spot in the garage, getting it gone is what the $80 buys.

“I had a great experience with Dominic and Reno Junk Removal. Professional, reasonably priced, on time, same day service. My garage was filled with old toxic chemicals from the swimming pool and cans of paint that needed to be properly disposed of. What a relief it was to watch the mess disappear and to know it was not going to have a negative impact on the environment by just going into a landfill. Highly recommended!”

“Dominic’s service was top tier. Within an hour of calling him, he was at my house and ready to haul off the multitudes of junk including the rusty spool of wire left by previous owners, saving our puppy from an inevitable tetanus shot. They can’t be beat on price and they also provide services like snow removal and holiday light decorating. My husband is already looking in to their Christmas lights service. You can’t go wrong hiring these efficient professionals.”

“Can’t say enough good things about Reno Junk Removal. Dom is very professional and responsive. He and Tyler came to my house the same day and picked up and hauled off a quarter of a garage worth of cardboard. The amount of time they saved me from trip after trip of taking it all to the dump was well worth the reasonable price. I highly recommend Reno Junk Removal.”
