Carpet removal is Dominic's job of pulling worn carpet and its pad out of Reno houses and rentals, anywhere in the Reno-Tahoe area. Text a photo to (775) 316-7470. He carries the rolls out from the room they came up in, upstairs bedrooms included, so you don't have to drag anything down to the curb.
The job usually comes up in the middle of a flooring change. Maybe you've got new floors going in and the old carpet has to go first, or you're turning a rental between tenants. For a property manager, the final walkthrough after cleanup is the check that the unit is ready for the installers. When the carpet is one piece of a bigger tear-out, the remodel debris removal page covers the rest of the mess from the project. Remodel and demolition debris sits together on the debris removal page.

What's usually in a carpet removal pile?
Mostly carpet and pad, with stair runners, area rugs and the installer's scraps in the same pile.
Rolled carpet rides flat in his trailer. How many rooms of rolls it takes to fill that trailer is what sets the price. A single bedroom's worth takes up a small share of it. A full house, with the stairs and the hall, is a real load. Tell him how many rooms it came from when you send the picture.
How does old carpet get out of an upstairs room?
Roll by roll, carried down the stairs and out the front door. Basements work the same way. Rolls pulled up downstairs get carried up and out, so nothing waits at the bottom of the steps. On that first text he'll want to know which rooms are done and see a picture of each one.
After you say yes to the price, the two of you pick a day and an hour, and his arrival window is 30 minutes to an hour wide. Jake, his helper, works the job alongside him. He talks you through the plan first, room by room. With the floor bare, he tidies the room and the two of you look it over before he leaves.
Where does old carpet go once it's hauled away?
Carpet that's worn out is plain trash, and it ends at the Stead landfill or the Carson City landfill. Donation still comes first for anything in the load that someone could use. A clean area rug or a small dresser pulled out for the floor work can go to Goodwill.
The steel bed frame that came out with the bedroom carpet ends up recycled at a scrap yard. So one carpet load can end up in three places, sorted by what each piece actually is. If a rug came out in good shape, mention it when you text.
How much does carpet removal cost?
Carpet removal starts at $80, and that's the minimum for any job. Above that, what you pay tracks the trailer space your rolls and pad fill. A small load takes less room than a whole floor of rolls, and the price follows that.
A picture of the rolls gets you a quote covering the whole job, with loading, hauling and disposal all in it, and when a picture won't do, he'll come look in person. The landfill's charge is already folded into that quote. His rule is that the quote stands as long as the job is no bigger than your photo showed, so a second bedroom of carpet left out of the picture would change it. Cash, check, Venmo, Zelle and credit or debit cards all work for paying him. The pricing guide explains how other loads get priced, too. The what-goes-on-the-truck page covers the few things he leaves behind.
Does carpet removal reach the lake and the outlying towns?
Yes. Rolls from a Truckee cabin or a Fallon rental are within reach, since he'll drive 75 miles for a job, and Reno and Sparks houses are close by. Carson City, Gardnerville and Fernley sit inside that range too.
He works Monday to Saturday, 24 hours a day, and takes Sunday off. That matters when flooring is on a schedule. If the installers start Monday, plan for the old carpet to go out Saturday or sooner. Text once the floor is up, since he can come same day, most days. Call at midnight or at noon and he'll pick up. If your place sits past the lake, the towns on his route around Reno and Tahoe will show whether it's covered.

“Can’t say enough good things about Reno Junk Removal. Dom is very professional and responsive. He and Tyler came to my house the same day and picked up and hauled off a quarter of a garage worth of cardboard. The amount of time they saved me from trip after trip of taking it all to the dump was well worth the reasonable price. I highly recommend Reno Junk Removal.”
“Arrived on time, and got the job done, extremely fair pricing. Would recommend to anyone in the area!”
“Dom is great. Good communication and fair pricing. Will definitely use his services again. Highly recommend!”
