Dominic handles estate cleanout in Reno and across the Reno-Tahoe area, and booking starts with your phone. Text a photo to (775) 316-7470. An estate job means a whole household, often a parent's home, with years of furniture, kitchen goods, clothes and boxes nobody has opened in a long time. Maybe you're the son or daughter, the executor, or the one managing the property, and you need the house emptied before the next step.
You'll usually go through first on your own and pull the photos and papers you want to keep. Once that first pass is done, the rest of the house is his to clear, room by room, with no rush on your end beforehand. When it's only one garage or a back room, the house and garage cleanouts page fits better.

What does an estate cleanout include?
An estate cleanout clears everything still in the home once you've taken what you want, and that usually means every room at once. Dominic works with a helper, Jake. The load goes on the silver Ford pickup towing a black Texas Pride dump trailer, 16 feet by 7 feet with 4 foot sides, so a whole house goes out in as many trailer loads as it takes.
What sets it apart is the mix. Usable things go to Goodwill, metal goes to the scrap yard and leftover paint goes to Greymar, sorted as the rooms are cleared. So the dining table and the bed frame can leave the same house on the same day and end up in different places. If you're handling a loss or getting a property ready, you need the whole place done as one job instead of a dozen small trips.
How much does an estate cleanout cost?
An estate cleanout is priced by how much room the load takes on the truck, and every job has an $80 minimum. A full house takes more space than one bedroom, so the price follows the volume. Loading, hauling and disposal are all inside that price, and dump fees are included rather than billed on their own. As a rough guide, a couch runs $125 to $225, a mattress $80 to $125 and a paint can from the garage shelf $10 to $20.
For a smaller estate, pictures of each room are usually enough to price it. When a job needs it, he comes out for an in-person quote instead of pricing from pictures. The quote holds unless the job turns out bigger than the photo showed. You can pay by cash, credit or debit card, Venmo, Zelle or check. The Reno junk removal pricing guide goes deeper on how the price is set.
Where do the things from an estate go?
Donation comes first. Furniture, dishes, clothes and household goods still in good shape go to Goodwill, so the dining table or the good set of dishes gets used again. Metal goes to a scrap yard to be recycled. That covers old bed frames, metal shelving, filing cabinets and the like. Leftover paint from the garage shelves goes to Greymar for disposal.
What's left after that is the real trash. The broken chairs and worn-out carpet go to the Carson City landfill or the Stead landfill. Point out anything that should stay when he explains the work before loading starts.
If you'd rather fill a container at your own pace, his 20 yard roll-off dumpster rents for $455 for one week, then $15 a day after the week is done, with 4 tons included and $95 a ton after that.
How does Dominic work through a full house?
It starts with a call or text about what needs to go, with pictures if they help. Once you approve the price, he sets a day and time and shows up when he said he would. Before anything moves, he explains the work so everyone agrees on what leaves and what stays. On an estate that step matters, since one cabinet might still hold the family papers.
He brings it out from wherever it sits, down the stairs from the upstairs bedroom or up from the basement. Heavy pieces come out too. The heaviest hauls so far include a 1,200 pound grand piano. When the load is out, he cleans up the area and does a final walkthrough with you. If you're a manager handling the estate for someone else, that walkthrough is your chance to check every room before you report back.
What won't go on the truck from an estate?
Four things stay behind on an estate job. Propane tanks are refused, so the grill tank in the garage or the camper bottle has to be dealt with separately. Asbestos is off the list, which is worth thinking about in an older house with original flooring or pipe wrap. Medical or biohazard waste is refused too, which matters when someone was cared for at home. Anything with bed bugs or pests can't go either, so take a look at the mattresses and the couch before the job.
If you're not sure about something, check the guide to what goes on the truck or put it in the photo and ask before the day.
Which towns around Reno does an estate cleanout cover?
Dominic drives up to 75 miles for a job, so an estate in Sparks, Washoe Valley or Gardnerville is in range, along with a family cabin in Truckee, Incline Village or South Lake Tahoe. Fernley, Fallon and Dayton out east are within his drive around Reno and Tahoe too. Minden and Virginia City are covered as well.
He answers the phone any time, day or night. Hours run Monday through Saturday, 24 hours, and Sunday is closed. Timing is same day, most days, with a 30 minute to one hour arrival window once a time is set.

“I had a great experience with Dominic and Reno Junk Removal. Professional, reasonably priced, on time, same day service. My garage was filled with old toxic chemicals from the swimming pool and cans of paint that needed to be properly disposed of. What a relief it was to watch the mess disappear and to know it was not going to have a negative impact on the environment by just going into a landfill. Highly recommended!”
“He was responsive on text, gave me a quote from the images I sent, and able to pick up a load of stuff from our garage less than 48 hours after initial contact. Day of he was running late due to another job but texted ahead of time to let me know. Loaded stuff on his own and was off! Great service and a great price. Would definitely recommend.”
“Can’t say enough good things about Reno Junk Removal. Dom is very professional and responsive. He and Tyler came to my house the same day and picked up and hauled off a quarter of a garage worth of cardboard. The amount of time they saved me from trip after trip of taking it all to the dump was well worth the reasonable price. I highly recommend Reno Junk Removal.”
