Dominic does electronic waste removal & disposal in Reno and across the Reno-Tahoe area, hauling off the TVs, computers and printers that stopped working or got replaced. Text a photo to (775) 316-7470 to set it up. Old tube TVs are heavy for their size. Flat screens are thin and easy to crack. Desktop towers, monitors and printers stack up in a closet over a few upgrades, and the box of cords never gets sorted. It all sits because nobody wants to lift it.

Homeowners clearing a garage or spare room call for this, and so do managers with a back room of old office computers or a TV a tenant left behind. The manager sends the photos and approves the price, then he sets the day. He does the carrying, so nobody wrestles a console TV down the stairs.

What counts as electronic waste for a junk pickup?

Most anything with a screen, a circuit board or a power cord that isn't a kitchen or laundry appliance. That covers TVs of every age, desktop towers, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, stereos, speakers, game consoles, DVD players, office phones and the tangle of cords and chargers that came with all of it. A fridge, a washer or a dryer is a different kind of haul, with its own page on appliance removal and disposal.

Electronics rarely come out alone. The old TV sits on a stand that's going too. The computer tower lives under a desk nobody wants anymore. That's fine. Furniture, boxes and the electronics can all ride on the same load, and you get a quote for the whole job instead of a separate visit for each piece. A rental turnover or an office move tends to leave the same mix behind. A TV, a printer in the hall closet and a drawer of chargers.

How does a heavy TV get out of a basement or an office?

He brings it out from wherever it is, so you don't have to move a thing ahead of time. On the first call he asks what needs to go and asks for pictures if he needs them. Once you approve the price, he sets a day and time and shows up inside a 30 minute to one hour window. Before anything moves, he explains how the work will go. A console TV in the basement comes up the stairs. A row of towers comes out from under the desks.

For an office, once the manager approves the price, he sets a day and time with them. When a whole floor is being emptied, the office cleanout page covers that bigger job. When the electronics are out, he cleans up the spot they came from and walks through the space with you at the end.

What happens to the rest of an electronics load?

Anything in the load that still has use goes to donation first, at Goodwill. A solid TV stand, a desk or a bookshelf that came out with the computers can go there. Metal goes to a scrap yard to be recycled, so a steel filing cabinet or a metal shelf rack from the office doesn't end up buried. Real trash, like broken particle board and the busted boxes the old gear was stored in, goes to the Carson City landfill or the Stead landfill.

For the short list of things he leaves behind on every job, see what goes on the truck and what doesn't.

How much does it cost to get rid of an old TV in Reno?

A single TV usually runs $80, which is also the minimum for any job. Past that, the price depends on how much room the load takes on the truck, so a closet of towers and monitors costs more than one screen, and a full office of old gear more again. Loading, hauling and disposal are all inside the quote. Dump fees never show up as a separate charge.

You get the price from a photo of the pile, or he comes out to look when the job needs it. The quote covers the whole job, and it holds unless the pile turns out bigger than your photo showed. You can pay with cash, credit or debit card, Venmo, Zelle or check. The junk removal cost guide has more on how pricing works for larger loads.

Does he come up to Tahoe for an electronics pickup?

Yes. He drives up to 75 miles for a job, so a couple of old TVs in a cabin at Incline Village or Kings Beach get the same answer as a stack of monitors in Sparks. Home base is Reno, in Washoe County. The area runs from Truckee and Tahoe City down through Carson City and Gardnerville, and east to Fernley and Fallon. Smaller spots like Virginia City and Washoe Valley are covered as well. The full list of towns he works in has the rest. He answers the phone day or night, and a cabin at the lake gets the same arrival window as a house in Sparks.

Questions

Questions about electronic waste removal and disposal.

How much does electronic waste removal cost?
The minimum is $80, and a single TV usually lands right at that. A bigger pile is priced by how much room it takes, with loading, hauling and disposal included. Text a photo to (775) 316-7470.
Do I need to bring the TV out to the curb?
No. Leave it in the room it's in, upstairs, downstairs or in the garage. He brings it out from there.
Will he take a box of old cords, phones and chargers?
Yes. Loose cords, chargers, old phones and remotes go on the load with everything else. Toss them in a box or a bag before he gets there if you like.
How soon can an old TV be picked up?
Same day, most days. He works Monday through Saturday, 24 hours, and is closed Sunday. Once a time is set, the arrival window is 30 minutes to one hour.
Can a manager book a pickup for an office or a rental?
Yes. A manager can send the photos and approve the price, and he sets a day and time with them. He loads the gear from the rooms it sits in and cleans up after.

Yes. He takes Venmo and Zelle, plus cash, credit or debit card and check.
