Land clearing with Dominic means an overgrown Reno lot gets picked clean of brush and junk, anywhere in the Reno-Tahoe area, until you can see the dirt again. Text a photo to (775) 316-7470. On a land clearing job the load is spread over open ground. It's dead brush, cut limbs, old fence boards and posts, scrap metal, and trash that has collected on the property for years.

Maybe your land got away from you. It might be a back acre full of dead growth and a fallen fence line, or a vacant parcel a property manager needs ready to rent or sell. Dominic has cleared land for a gold mine man camp in Tonopah. Most of the job is loading it up and hauling it off, from wherever it lies on the property. He's been hauling since 2023, and a weedy corner lot gets the same answer as a wide parcel out of town. "No job too big or too small" is how he puts it. He holds 5.0 stars across 22 reviews on Google.

What gets hauled off in a land clearing job?

Dead brush, fallen branches, old fence boards and posts, wire, scrap metal and the trash that collects on a lot that has sat for years. Broken pallets and scrap lumber turn up too, along with whatever blew in or got left behind.

The difference from a cleanout is the ground itself. Nothing is boxed or stacked, and the pile is spread over the whole parcel instead of one room. If your job is mostly branches and clippings from a regular yard, yard debris removal is the closer fit. Land clearing is for the rougher lot, the one that hasn't been touched in a while.

Heavy pieces left out on the land are part of the job too. The heaviest piece he's moved yet was an old concrete mixer at 4,000 pounds.

How does a land clearing job get loaded and hauled?

It starts with a few questions and your pictures. First he'll want to know what's out there, then he studies your pictures of the lot and comes back with an estimate. Acres of scrub don't always show up well on a phone screen, so on a big parcel he'll set a time to walk the ground and quote it in person. Say yes to the estimate and you get a day and a time on the calendar, plus an arrival window of 30 minutes to an hour. He picks up the phone at any hour, night included.

He shows up on time and explains the work before anything gets loaded. After the last load is out, he tidies the ground and walks the property with you one last time. If a property manager is handling the parcel, the manager can text the photos. What can and can't go off a property is on his list of what he hauls and what stays.

Where does the brush and junk from a cleared lot end up?

It gets sorted before it goes anywhere, and donation comes first. Anything on the lot that someone could still use, like a solid wheelbarrow or a patio table, goes to Goodwill when it can be donated.

Metal is common on land. Posts, wire, pipe and old car parts get set aside for a scrap yard, where the metal is recycled. Half-empty paint cans found behind a shed are taken to Greymar to dispose of the paint. The true garbage, the rotted boards and torn tarps, ends up at the landfill in Stead or the one in Carson City.

How is the price set for clearing a lot?

The price on a cleared lot comes from the space the whole pile fills on the truck, starting at an $80 minimum. Of everything people ask him, how he charges comes up the most. The quote he gives is for the entire lot, start to finish.

Your quote stands as long as the job is no bigger than what the photos showed. Brush hides wire, old pipe and the odd bucket, so the corners and the far side of the property belong in your pictures. A fallen fence line takes more room on the trailer than a pile of clippings, so that far end matters to the price. Loading, hauling, disposal and dump fees are all inside the price.

How far out of Reno will he go to clear land?

Up to 75 miles. He's based in Reno and covers the Reno-Tahoe area, from Truckee, Incline Village, Kings Beach, Tahoe City, South Lake Tahoe and Stateline to Sparks, Fernley, Fallon, Carson City, Dayton and Gardnerville. Rural ground in Washoe Valley, Verdi and Stead is in range, as are Minden, Virginia City, Silver City, VC Highlands and Hidden Valley. If your parcel sits near the edge of that range, find it on the full town list first.

A lot you'd rather fill over several days can also be handled with a roll-off dumpster set on the property, so you can load it at your own pace. For the 20 yard size, a week costs $455 with 4 tons included. Past the week it's $15 a day, and past 4 tons it's $95 a ton.

“Dom is professional and honest. He hauled all our tree branches and more for a reasonable price. His fees are more than fair - got the job done way under another quote. Left the area completely clean, too.”

“Dominic’s service was top tier. Within an hour of calling him, he was at my house and ready to haul off the multitudes of junk including the rusty spool of wire left by previous owners, saving our puppy from an inevitable tetanus shot. They can’t be beat on price and they also provide services like snow removal and holiday light decorating. My husband is already looking in to their Christmas lights service. You can’t go wrong hiring these efficient professionals.”

Questions

Questions about land clearing.

What is the minimum for a land clearing job?
$80 is the minimum. A big overgrown lot costs more because it fills more of the trailer, and you'll know the price before the first branch is loaded.
Can he take small trees when he clears a lot?
Yes. Small trees are a service of his own, covered under small tree removal, so include them in the pictures you send.
Do I have to pile everything up before he comes?
No. He picks it up from wherever it is on the property, so the brush along the back fence can stay right where it fell.
How soon can he get to my lot?
Same day, most days. Sunday is the one day he's closed. Text a photo to (775) 316-7470.
How do I pay for land clearing?
You can pay with cash, a check, Venmo, Zelle, or a credit or debit card.
