Dominic does remodel debris removal in Reno and across the Reno-Tahoe area, hauling away what comes out of a house when a kitchen, a bathroom or a basement gets redone. Text a photo to (775) 316-7470 to get it booked. A remodel pile is different from a cleanout. It's chunks of drywall, cabinets pulled off the wall, a toilet waiting in the garage and bags of broken tile by the side door, and it keeps growing every weekend the work goes on.
Maybe you're doing your own tear-out, or you manage a rental and need the unit ready between tenants. You might be halfway through and out of room, or finished and wanting the garage back. When the job is new construction with framing scraps and site waste, construction debris removal is the closer fit. If the cabinets and tile are still on the wall, kitchen demolition and bathroom demolition are their own services. This page is for what's already torn out and waiting to leave.
If the remodel will run for weeks and you'd rather toss things as you go, he also rents a 20 yard roll-off dumpster that can sit on site. For a pile that's already there, a haul-off is often simpler, because the loading is part of the job and you don't have to lift any of it into a bin yourself.

What comes out of a kitchen or bathroom remodel?
A kitchen redo leaves the biggest pile. Out come the upper and lower cabinets, the old sink, the countertop in broken slabs, the range hood and flooring that came up in rolls or in pieces. A bathroom is smaller but heavier for its size, with the vanity, the toilet, a tub surround, a mirror and buckets of tile still stuck to mortar.
Other rooms add their own layer. A basement gives up paneling, carpet and pad, and the drywall from a wall that got moved. Hallways and bedrooms turn out doors, trim and baseboard with the nails still in. On most remodels the debris sits in a few places at once, often split between the garage and the room still being worked on. That spread is a big part of what makes this job different from a single stack by the driveway.
Where does the drywall and tile go after it leaves?
Broken drywall, mortar, old flooring and insulation scraps go to the Carson City landfill or the Stead landfill. Before that, the pile gets sorted, so the landfill only gets what's left.
Usable pieces go to donation first, at Goodwill. Old pipe, ductwork, a cast iron tub and a steel sink go to a scrap yard, where the metal gets recycled.
Leftover paint from the job goes to Greymar for disposal, so the half-empty cans don't end up sitting on a garage shelf for another year.
How does the debris get out of an upstairs bathroom or basement?
He and his helper, Jake, haul it down the stairs from an upstairs bathroom or up from the basement, wherever the tear-out happened, so nothing has to be dragged to the driveway first. You can leave the pile right where the work left it.
When the debris is spread over several rooms or hard to judge from a picture, he can come out for an in-person quote before the haul. A property manager can text the photos and approve the price for a unit between tenants, the same way a homeowner would. Once the price is approved, he sets a day and time, and you get a 30 minute to one hour arrival window. On the day, he explains the work before starting. When the load is out he cleans up the area and does a final walkthrough with you.
How much does remodel debris removal cost?
The minimum is $80. Above that, a remodel pile is priced by how much room it takes on the truck. Your photos set the price for the whole job, and the quote holds unless the job turns out bigger than the photo showed. That's why it helps to send a picture of each spot where debris is piled, not only the main stack in the garage.
The landfill fees for the drywall and broken tile are inside that quote, never billed on their own line. You can pay with cash, a credit or debit card, Venmo, Zelle or a check. For a closer look at how hauling jobs get priced, the Reno pricing guide covers it.
What won't he take from a remodel?
Asbestos is the one that matters most on a tear-out. If old flooring, ceiling texture or pipe wrap in your house might contain it, keep it out of the pile and mention it when you text, because he won't haul it. Propane tanks stay behind too.
Anything with bed bugs or pests is refused, which can come up when old carpet or a closet of stored furniture comes out of a rental. The rest of a normal remodel is fine, from drywall and tile to cabinets, fixtures, flooring and trim.
Does he haul remodel debris from Lake Tahoe and Carson City jobs too?
Yes. He's based in Reno, drives up to 75 miles for a job, and covers towns from South Lake Tahoe and Incline Village to Fernley, Fallon, Carson City and Gardnerville. You can check the full list of towns he drives to before you send photos from a cabin or a rental across the lake.
Saturday counts, so a pile from a weekday tear-out can be gone by the weekend. Sunday he's closed. He answers the phone any time, day or night, so a question sent from the job site after the crew leaves is fine. If you only get up to a lake cabin on weekends, a Saturday haul lets you be there for the walkthrough.

“Can’t say enough good things about Reno Junk Removal. Dom is very professional and responsive. He and Tyler came to my house the same day and picked up and hauled off a quarter of a garage worth of cardboard. The amount of time they saved me from trip after trip of taking it all to the dump was well worth the reasonable price. I highly recommend Reno Junk Removal.”
“Arrived on time, and got the job done, extremely fair pricing. Would recommend to anyone in the area!”
“Dom is great. Good communication and fair pricing. Will definitely use his services again. Highly recommend!”
