Dominic brings a 20 yard roll-off dumpster to homes and job sites in Reno and around the Reno-Tahoe area, and same-day dumpster delivery is how he does it when the job can't wait. Once he knows what's going in, the bin comes out same day, most days. Text a photo to (775) 316-7470. What sets this apart from his hauling work is who sets the pace. The bin sits on your property and you fill it as the work goes, a few loads each evening or all in one push on a Saturday.

The bin is the 20 yard roll-off. That keeps the choice simple. It fits jobs where the junk comes out a little at a time over several days. Think of a kitchen torn down to the studs, with drywall coming out all week. The weight allowance and the week-long rental term are laid out on the 20-yard dumpster rental page.

Property managers and contractors call for it too, usually when a unit has to be empty before the next tenant or a crew is about to start tear-out and nobody ordered a bin. The work itself runs Monday through Saturday, around the clock.

What goes on the truck

  • Remodel tear-out and drywall
  • Old carpet and pad
  • Broken furniture
  • Bagged household trash
  • Scrap lumber
  • Yard debris and brush
  • Garage cleanout boxes

Who needs a dumpster dropped off fast?

Mostly you're already in the middle of something. Usually you're mid-remodel with drywall and cabinet boxes piling up, or you're clearing a house before a deadline. The pile on these jobs keeps growing while you work, so a single pickup doesn't fit. On a haul-away job he carries everything out from where it sits. With a dumpster, the bin stays on your property and you load it on your own schedule.

What goes in is usually mixed. Old carpet and pad, broken furniture, bagged trash, scrap lumber, yard debris, and the boxes from a garage nobody has opened in years. That's why the timing matters. He answers the phone any time, day or night.

Where does everything in the dumpster end up?

Most of it goes to the landfill, since a dumpster load is mostly real trash. Depending on the run, that's the Carson City landfill or the Stead landfill.

Not everything belongs in the bin, though. If you turn up a dresser in good shape or a working table while you clear things out, set it aside. Dominic would rather see good pieces go to Goodwill, because donation comes first on his loads. Metal is the other thing worth pulling. Old bed frames, a rusted swing set, pipe and wire go to a scrap yard to be recycled instead of buried. Tell him what you've set aside and he'll sort out how it leaves. Electronics are a separate conversation, so mention any TV or computer up front.

What stays out of the dumpster?

Four things stay out, bin or no bin. Propane tanks are one. Asbestos is another. Medical or biohazard waste is out too, and so is anything with bed bugs or pests. A mattress or couch that has had bugs can't ride along with the rest of the load, even buried at the bottom.

Leftover paint is its own case. He takes it to Greymar for disposal, so mention the cans when you first reach out. If you aren't sure about something in the pile, the what goes on the truck guide covers the common items, or just ask before it goes in. Asking first is a lot easier than fishing a propane tank out from under a pile of drywall.

How much does a same-day dumpster cost?

The 20 yard roll-off rents for $455 for one week. After the week is done, it's $15 a day. The rental includes 4 tons of weight, and anything past that is $95 a ton. Heavy loads reach the 4 ton limit faster than a bin full of furniture, so plan the load with that in mind.

The minimum on any job is $80. If the pile is small enough that a dumpster is overkill, he can haul it instead, priced from a photo by how much room the load takes on the truck. Loading, hauling and disposal are all in that price, and dump fees never show up as a separate charge. His rule is that the quote holds unless the job turns out bigger than the photo showed.

How does a same-day dumpster drop get set up?

It starts with a call or a text. He asks what's going in and how big the job is, and asks for pictures if they help. Some jobs need a look in person first, and he'll set that up when they do. Once you say yes to the price, he gives you a day and a time.

Before anything starts, he walks you through the plan. Think ahead about where the bin should sit, a clear spot you can reach easily with a wheelbarrow or a dolly. If a manager or a contractor is running the site, put their number in your message so he can coordinate with whoever is there that day. When the bin is picked up, he cleans up the area and does a final walkthrough with you.

How far out of Reno will he bring a dumpster?

He drives up to 75 miles for a job, which reaches well past Reno and Sparks. Carson City, Truckee, South Lake Tahoe, Incline Village, Fernley and Fallon are all in range, along with smaller spots like Virginia City, Verdi and Washoe Valley. You can find your town on the list of places he works around Reno and Tahoe.

Put the address in your first message so he can tell you what the day looks like. A Saturday night call won't get a Sunday bin, since Sunday is the day off.

“I found Dom on Facebook, and he responded within moments. He was at my house within 30 minutes with his dumpster. At the time I didn’t realize that he could help us. I didn’t know what I was going to do was entailing so much that day. But I managed to fill his dumpster with all kinds of stuff. I will be using him again for more projects around my house. One thing I liked is that he gave me a price and he stuck to that price. He was very courteous and prompt. I really appreciate that in young people today when they’re polite and courteous. I will definitely be using Dom again. Thank you Dominic. I really appreciate your help.”

“I had a great experience with Dominic and Reno Junk Removal. Professional, reasonably priced, on time, same day service. My garage was filled with old toxic chemicals from the swimming pool and cans of paint that needed to be properly disposed of. What a relief it was to watch the mess disappear and to know it was not going to have a negative impact on the environment by just going into a landfill. Highly recommended!”
